I only used about 4 drops of this foundation all over my face, however since it was so much darker than my current skin tone, I was apprehensive of applying a second layer to see how buildable it was. It looked and felt very natural on the skin, kind of like wearing a tinted moisturizer. The foundation was very blendable and definitely very luminous and dewy, but it didn’t make me look greasy. I also used a Beauty Blender to apply the foundation and noticed that it left a great finish – I haven’t tried a brush yet but I would imagine that you could probably get more coverage using one.Īs you can see from the before & after pictures, the foundation gave a nice sheer-light coverage using a Beauty Blender. I used the Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Primer Perfector on my T-zone and found that it played well with this product. Application and WearĪfter watching/reading a few reviews, I decided that I had to wear some sort of pore-filling primer while using this foundation since I heard that it settles into pores and fine lines. The bottle is nicely frosted and has a good amount of weight to it. I also love the appearance of the actual product. The dropper doesn’t let out too much product at once, so it’s nice if you don’t really use too much in one go. It comes with a dropper instead of a pump, which I happened to love because it gives you so much more control over how much product you want to dispense. The packaging for this product was a little unusual from typical foundations. As I’ve mentioned before, I went with Medium initially, however, after trying the foundation out a few times, I ended up getting Beige since Medium was just too dark for me to use if I wanted more coverage. I waffled between getting Beige or Medium since there have been a mix of people who have the same skin tone as me getting one or the other. I also don’t think this will work for anyone who is extremely fair since this product runs very dark. Although they claim to have neutral undertones, I find that they lean slightly warm. If you have any sort of strong undertone, this will not be the foundation for you. Let me start off by saying that their claim about the 8 flexible shades flattering all skintones is absolute bs. The foundation features a curated array of eight flexible shades that flatter all skintones. Every weightless drop of fluid imparts subtle luminosity that blurs imperfections and leaves a soft-focused glow. Smooth on foundation coverage that feels ultra-light and buildable, while it evens and perfects your complexion. Before I get into anything else, let’s start off with the claims: I have to admit, I had a hard time figuring out which shade to get, but I decided to go with Medium based on some of the reviews I’ve seen. There’s only 8 shades and they all apparently have “neutral” undertones. Right away, I noticed that the shade selection is terrible. I picked up the Becca Aqua Luminous Foundation in the shade Medium from Sephora for $53 CAD. So if you want to check out my review, please keep reading! It seemed to fit my expectations of a dewy and luminous foundation, and figured it was my duty to report my thoughts on this brand spankin’ new product. I have an unhealthy obsession with them, so when I heard about the new foundation that Becca launched, I knew that it was something I definitely wanted to try. Once you’ve figured out the perfect amount you need, it dries to a semi-luminous finish, and while it didn’t look too shiny on any skin texture we tried it on, those with oily skin may find it’s worn away before the workday comes to an end.I never thought I’d see the day where I would prefer luminous and dewy foundations over matte ones, but here we are. Because it’s so runny, it can be easy to overdo, but it’s also easy to troubleshoot-just add a bit of water to your makeup sponge and tap it over anywhere you applied too much. The liquid blends into your skin almost instantaneously the best application method is to release a drop or two onto the back of your hand and blend into your skin with your fingers (a brush will soak up too much formula). The only difference is this gives more coverage than a tinted moisturizer it’s light but definitely not sheer and can be layered to create the opacity of a medium-coverage formula. In fact, the finish (slightly dewy) and the feel on your skin (completely weightless) resemble those of a tinted moisturizer. This foundation is made for people who hate wearing foundation. After you’ve blended in the slippery formula (which takes all of two seconds), it feels as if you’re wearing nothing on your skin. The formula is very thin and liquid-y-about the same consistency as melted ice cream-and is dispensed through a glass dropper (when you twist the cap open, the button of the dropper pops up with a satisfying click).
